Key Points: • Constitutional Rights (Articles 25–28): Emphasized freedom of religion, management of religious affairs, and secularism in education and taxation. • Violence Against Christians: o 245 incidents reported between Jan–Apr 2025 across 19 states (UCF data) o Over 900 arrests under anti-conversion laws, many unjustified o Notable incidents: arrest of Fr. Anit CMI, threats in Assam, attacks in Odisha and Chhattisgarh, and forced religious activities in Christian schools Suggested Strategies: • Promote interfaith and ecumenical dialogue • Document and report religious atrocities • Empower Dalit Christians • Educate on political rights and secular values • Challenge biased narratives and support democratic values Outcome: The session was informative and eye-opening.
